A scheme to convert an existing heavy engineering factory and workshop premises in Thetford (previously Simons Engineering) to create a new book printing plant for Jarrolds Printing.
A new glass wall was installed between the offices and the printing area to enable the type-setting office and meeting rooms to look on to the printing process. The project also involved the construction of a brand new ceiling throughout the factory and incorporated enabling works for the installation of new Komori printing presses as well as other new plant and machinery. New loading bays and storage areas were also created.
A revised layout of offices, meeting rooms, staff facilities as well as a new reception area helped to refurbish and update the existing office accommodation.
